CC McGee SRO of the Year
Each year, at the Annual Conference, a member of the North Carolina Association of School Resource Officers is recognized as the C.C. McGee School Resource Officer of the Year for their outstanding contributions to their school, law enforcement agency, and community. This award is named in honor of the late C.C. McGee. He was a former Assistant Sheriff of Forsyth County, a founding member of, and a Past President of NCASRO. Assistant Sheriff McGee constantly worked to implement and advance the School Resource Officer concept. He served both as a School Resource Officer and as a Supervisor of School Resource Officers during his distinguished career.

Hank Snyder Beyond the
Call of Duty Award
The Hank Snyder Beyond the Call of Duty award is named in honor of Hank Snyder, retired NC Justice Academy Instructor and association member. Hank took an active part in the Association and its training conference for many years and continues to advise and assist the current board.
