This is an excellent opportunity to take an active role in shaping the direction of our organization and contributing to its continued success. The board was just notified that, as of January 1, 2026, all hotel reservations will be subject to a 9% tribal levy and a 6% occupancy tax. Previously, these taxes were a 7.5% tribal levy and a 4% occupancy tax.

Dear NCASRO members,

As you prepare to attend the NCASRO Conference at Harrah’s Casino Cherokee, we would like to provide some vital information regarding the policy for carrying duty weapons during the event.

In accordance with the venue’s security and safety protocols, please be advised that attendees are only permitted to carry their duty weapons openly while in their everyday uniform. This means that if you are wearing any attire other than your official uniform, you will not be authorized to carry your duty weapon openly within the casino premises.

For those planning to attend the conference, please ensure you are in full uniform if you intend to carry your duty weapon. If you are not in uniform, we ask that you make alternate arrangements to secure your weapon while on the property.

We appreciate your cooperation in helping to ensure the safety and security of all conference participants. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this policy or need additional guidance, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Early Check-In & Late Check-Out Policy

Harrah’s Casino has implemented a new Early Check-In and Late Check-Out policy. Guests who request an early check-in or late check-out will be charged the applicable fee listed below.

Please note: All early check-in and late check-out requests are subject to room availability and cannot be guaranteed. Applicable taxes will be added to all fees.

Standard Check-In: 3:00 PM

Early Check-In Fees

4:00 AM – 9:00 AM: $100 + tax
9:00 AM – 1:00 PM: $60 + tax
1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: $30 + tax

Standard Check-Out: 11:00 AM

Late Check-Out Fees

Monday – Thursday

11:00 AM – 1:00 PM: $20 ($40 for Suites)
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: $40 ($75 for Suites)
